We Were All Hiding from Something is my thesis for the MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts from the University of Baltimore.
The stories–written, workshopped, and made subject to the rigor of the academic process over the past four years–are my most fully realized work to date. They are about everyday people hiding from external dangers, hiding from themselves, finding their way.
In order to fulfill the design and publication requirements of the program, We Were All Hiding from Something is presented as a limited edition perfect bound book designed to complement the prose within. The text is set in ITC Bodoni, a typeface that is lovely to read and full of wonderful human gestures. The cover is printed in two colors on 100 lb Neenah desert storm cover stock and finished with a white foil stamp for the titling.
